3 months

Houston is 3 months old! Here are some tidbits:

Weight: 15.6 lbs

He eats a lot, if you can’t tell by his weight. He eats about 6oz every 4 hours, then 8oz on his last bottle of the day, to help him sleep longer.

He still spits up. Not quite as bad, but it is still happening. And you NEVER get used to being spit up on!

He sleeps about 15-16 hours a day. He will go to bed about 7:30-8:00, then sleep until about 4:30-5:00 a.m.

My internal clock knows when he is about to wake up. I will wake up before I hear him on the baby monitor, and within 2 minutes he will start crying. And he does not get up at the exact same time everyday.

He is probably the most content baby that I have ever had. He can easily entertain himself for a very long time.

He LOVES the bath. We always give him one when he is a little fussy, and it helps to calm him.

He has a Baby Einstein Playtime Music CD, and I play the same song (babies like repetition), “Old McDonald.” Every time I turn it on, his face lights up and he starts moving his arms and legs like crazy. He also has a play gym (a mat with toys that hang on arches over his head). He will lay on it for a good half hour and play.

He does NOT like to be in his car seat when he is tired (but still awake). He gets VERY upset. I don’t know what we are going to do when we have to drive to Texas in January.

He has just started blowing bubbles and putting his lips together to make silly noises! He recognizes what he is doing, and when I laugh, he will do it more and more and laugh with me. Unfortunately, every time I get the video camera out, he will just stare at the camera. I can’t record it for the life of me!

He started teething this week. It causes him to be a little fussier and run low fevers. I hope that doesn’t last too long.

He is absolutely precious! I wish my babies would have slept like that, none of the 3 were good sleepers until they after their 1st birthdays. Maybe the next one will be a good sleeper when he/she is little.

Wow, he is opposite of everything I experienced--loves baths, hates the carseat when tired??? He is SO cute!

He is doing so well. I am a little behind in my reading, but I am catching up!
