I was listening to a secular radio station this morning, and the DJ had composed a list of the "Top Ten Life Lessons I learned from Noah's Ark." Number nine caught my attention:
Noah's Ark was built by an amateur. The Titantic was build by experts.
There are many directions I could go with this statement, but I'll stick with the one that I believe applies to me. How many times do I pass up opportunities to serve the Lord and others because I don't think I would do a good job or that it matches my skill set? I'm not an accomplished cook. I am definitely not crafty. I can't sing. Or maybe I feel that the situation would make me uncomfortable. I need to ditch the excuses and just dig in......God has the ability to turn my canoe into a cruise ship.

I loved your post. Believe it or not, you are more talented than you think. I know.
As for the amateur building the ark, I wouldn't want to be the one to call God an amateur. We know that it was really Him that built the ark. We can do nothing in and of ourselves, but it is Christ working in us. Let's remember that He can do anything, afterall, He created everything. If we know these things, then we know that it is us letting Him work in us, and then, anything is possible...
I love you girl, and I love the way you think. You are a very special person.
Exactly my point. Love you too.
