I've Been Tagged!

Okay, my friend Brooke has tagged me to reveal 7 random facts about myself. Here they are:

1. I am addicted to ice cream. Addicted. I have to have something with ice cream every single night. Every night – I don’t miss one. When I’m watching my weight it’s Weight Watchers or Skinny Cow novelties. When I’m not, it’s a pint of Ben and Jerry’s. I could beat anyone out there in an ice cream eating contest.


2. I actually love being an only child. I don’t want to share my parents with anyone else.


3. When I was in sixth grade, I got my first and only perm. They used these really tight rollers (you know, like they use on older women) and rolled my hair AND bangs. I looked like a French poodle. Literally.


4. The only two car accidents that I’ve had were with each of my other two pregnancies. I was fortunate that they weren’t too serious. Hopefully this time it will be different!


5. I’m scared to spend the night at home by myself. Although I do this several times a year when Jay is away, and I am somewhat used to it. But I still get scared sometimes. I put the kids in bed with me. I lock the door to my bedroom and put a chair up against it. I take sleeping pills and go to sleep early. I'm getting better. Especially in small town, Alabama. (By the way - I do all of this once the kids are asleep - I don't let them see my fear.)


6. I have these spider veins on the sides of my legs that I got when I was pregnant with Hunter and ate way too much. I can not get rid of them without surgery. Usually a good tan hides them. I, however, do not have a tan right now.


7. I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. Elementary education was my first major in college. But after freshmen year, I changed to business for two reasons. First, I didn’t think that I was creative enough for all of those bulletin boards you have to make (I’m very left-brained). Second, I thought business would give me more career options. Which it does. The funny thing is, however, many people at work that I have trained are always telling me that I should’ve been a teacher.
