Hayley got the "Student Salute" award in her first grade class! There are 4 first grade classes, and she was the only one picked in Mrs. Thomas' class. The "Student Salute" award is not just for good grades. It is for a student who exemplifies good behavior, helps the teacher, and is always kind to his/her classmates. I told Hayley that this makes me prouder than all of those A's she makes. I just HAD to take a moment and brag. Can you blame me?
By the way, they did not give me a heads up that she was getting her picture made for the Hartselle Enquirer! She had put on an "unapproved by Mom" sweatshirt on over her clothes. But I still think she's a cutie - look at how tall she is compared to the others!

Way to go, Hayley!! Woo-hoo! I don't think we got our picture in the paper for being star students at Wooddale.
Do you ever wonder why the photographer doesn't notice things that Mommy probably wouldn't like? I sure do.
