CHAOS is an acronym for "Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome." This term was coined by FlyLady. If you haven't noticed the link on my page yet, you should visit her website. It is a site dedicated to organizing and gaining control of your home and your life. Yes, the mascot is a lady with wings, and yes, she can be a little cheesy! But if you can get past all that, she has many great ideas. Her #1 motto is to shine your sink everyday - literally. The concept is that if you take the time just to shine your sink (and not plan to do anything else), you will feel much better about your home. And most of the time, that one chore will jump start your motivation to do a few more. She is also a big believer of getting dressed head to toe (shoes and all), even if you are not planning on leaving the house for a while. This is another tool to get you motivated for the day. I really like the concept behind shining the sink everyday, but I think I would need to come up with a different task. I am still working on getting my husband to put all the dishes in the dishwasher everyday; there is no way we can shine it yet. Good luck!
