So I spent about 4 hours today at the hospital in false labor. Let me preface by saying that with H&H I had scheduled deliveries and not very many labor signs before then. Some Braxton-Hicks but that was it. And this time around, I'm lucky if I have one Brax-Hick a day. The most I've ever had in one day is three, and spaced apart by many hours. So, this morning around 8:55, I was at work and felt a contraction. For some reason I decided to look at the time on the clock and remember. Then I had several more - at 9:20, 9:45, 10:15, 10:45, 10:52, and 11:00. And they did not feel too good. After about 4 of them I called the doc to see if I should be concerned. He advised me to go to the hospital just to get monitored. For some reason, my hormones took over and I started tearing up and getting a little shaky. I hate that! Anyway, my dad came and got me from work (Jay was in a meeting in Jackson, TN this morning) and took me to the hospital. At this point, they were coming over on the monitor every 10-15 minutes. I was not ready for this baby to come today! Good thing was, I had not dilated any yet. After talking with my doc, they decided to give me a bag of fluids and a couple of shots to get the contractions to stop. Then everything was fine after that! Hopefully no more trips anytime soon! My doctor called me shortly after I got home. He said that they did a fetal-something test and it came back 99% negative that I would deliver this baby in the next two weeks. So that made me feel better. Hopefully little Houston can hold out a little longer until I'm good and ready for him!

Take care of yourself! Glad Keith was there with you. Don't you know that Murphy's Law definitely applies whenever your husband is away! HA! Hope baby Houston will wait a few more weeks before making his entrance into the family.
Wow! You had a LOOONNNGGG Day! Hopefully, your little man will stay put for a while longer. I hate those trips to the hospital but I'm glad to hear all is well!
Nothing like false labor to bring home how close he is to coming! Hope he keeps cooking for a while--take care of yourself!
Oh goodness, I bet that was scary. My hormones took over while I was reading about it and I got all teary. I am glad to hear everything is well!
Oh! I know how your emotions took over. I had Kyleigh a week before she was scheduled and I still was very upset. Make sure you drink plenty of WATER!!! Just a little bit of dehydration can make you have contractions.
Whose is your Dr and where are you delivering if you don't mind me asking? Did you know I work at an OBGYN? I have worked there for over 9 years, so I know a little about "prego women" :0)
Please let me know if I could do anything for you.
TAKE CARE!!!!
Praying that little Houston takes a little bit more time and the Braxton HIcks stop! Love you!
Hye, how are you doing? Has Houston arrived? You don't have much longer!
