Yesterday was the first day of school at Pleasant Hill Elementary. Hayley started 2nd grade and Hunter started Kindergarten.
They were all set and ready to go. Hunter was especially proud of his Incredible Hulk lunchbox! For such a social child, he surprised me when we got to his classroom. He lowered his head and began to blink back the tears. It broke my heart! That afternoon, he told me that he didn't like school! I couldn't believe it. Hunter loves to learn! He did very well in preschool. I think that the structured environment was a little shocking my energetic little boy! Hopefully things will get better. Hayley seemed to love her class. She was a little nervous after we met her teacher on Tuesday, but she had a great time. This is her 4th school in 3 years, so she is used to the transition! We know her assistant teacher from our previous church, and that makes me feel really good. I'll keep you posted as the school year progresses!

They look so cute on their first day! Emmersen starts on Tuesday and I'm a little worried how she will do. I'm sure that will be a whole post on my blog. :) Glad your kids are doing well with transitioning to their new school.
They look so cute!! Both of them will do well and their teachers will just love having them in their classrooms!!
Do they get any cuter? How exciting for them. Ahhh..the age where the first day of school is so much fun. My high schoolers love it too...but are so apprehensive about all that goes with being a teen age girl.
